DIY CHRISTMAS OIL CANDLES

DIY CHRISTMAS OIL CANDLES

Christmas is officially less than 2 weeks away! Can you believe it? I've been busy putting together a bunch of really fun and festive ideas for decorating a Christmas tablescape. I wanted to keep it classic and elegant, but also extremely simple. I think I've pulled it off! First up are these amazing oil candles. I'm still sort of in awe of how well they work, and how gorgeous they look on my table.

Materials:
MASON JARS
PINE SPRIGS
ORANGE SLICES
FRESH CRANBERRIES
WATER
VEGETABLE OR OLIVE OIL
FLOATING WICKS

Begin adding each ingredient to a mason jar. Arrange each item however you would like, just be careful not to overcrowd the jar.

Top everything off with a handful of fresh cranberries.

Fill the jar with water up until the point where the jar starts to narrow.

Top everything off with some vegetable oil or olive oil. There should be about 1/4 inch of oil on top of the water.

The next step requires a floating wick which you can purchase on Amazon here. Add a pre-waxed wick to one of the metal discs.

Place wick on top of the oil, light, and voila! These will burn for about 5 hours without the oil needing to be replaced. Once they burn out, you can try adding more oil. If necessary, replace the wick. I am thrilled with how these light up my Christmas tablescape. The colors are so vibrant and gorgeous for the season.
